Clerk’s Office

Overview

The Village Clerk’s office is responsible for managing official records, overseeing elections, and acting as a liaison between the public and village government.

The Village Clerk works with the Mayor and Board of Trustees to oversee all administrative responsibilities of the Village of Hoosick Falls and is responsible for attending and taking minutes at all Village board meetings, publishing notices of public hearings, maintaining records of all Village laws, ordinances, contracts, correspondence and agreements, is the receiver of taxes, and is responsible for issuing and maintaining records for births and deaths that occur in the Village.

The Village Clerk is also the Freedom of Information Officer and is the custodian of all Village records.
