Overview

A solid waste department manages the collection, treatment, and disposal of discarded materials. This includes everything from household trash and recycling to industrial and hazardous waste, with the goal of minimizing environmental and health impacts. Effective solid waste management is crucial for maintaining public health, protecting the environment, and promoting sustainable communities.

Transfer Station

Hours
Apr 1 – Nov 30; Tues. 8am – noon, and Sat. 8am – 2pm
Dec 1– Mar 31; Sat. 8am – 2pm

Permit
A permit is recommended but not required. Please contact the village clerk’s office for further information.

Fees
Based on items in load and load size. Cash is not accepted at the transfer station. We now require all payments to be made with a debit or credit card.
